Heard.

The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of registering Cr.No.55 of 2013 as early as on 06-04-2013 before the 3rd respondent, neither investigation is completed nor final report/charge-sheet is filed. The petitioner states that his brother fabricated revenue records relating to the land admeasuring Ac.3-00 cents in Sy.No.354/2 situated a t Mallavolu village, Machavaram Mandal, Guntur District, and executed a registered gift deed in favour of his wife on 22-12-2010. On coming to know the said fact, he made a representation before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet on 11-02-2013 and thereafter, the 4th respondent enquired into the matter and on noticing that there is a prima facie case of fabrication of revenue records, pattadar pass books and title deeds issued by the 4th respondent with respect to the land in question was revoked. The 4th respondent also filed a complaint, based on which, the 3rd respondent also registered a case. However, the investigation has not been completed in spite of lapse of two years.

On instructions, the learned Government Pleader states that six witnesses were examined and the matter is pending for want of revenue records.

I do not see any justification on the part of the 3rd respondent in keeping the investigation pending even after lapse of two years, in spite of filing complaint by the 4th respondent. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to complete the investigation by taking all necessary steps and file appropriate charge-sheet/final report before the jurisdictional

Court within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
