THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K.SURENDER CRIMINAL PETITION No.5113 OF 2022 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed seeking to quash the proceedings against the petitioners in C.C.No.335 of 2021 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Choutuppal, Nalgonda District. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri S.Sudershan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for 1st respondent. Perused the record.

This Court, by order dated 31.01.2023 in Criminal Petition No.10678 of 2022 filed by A1 on the ground of compromise permitted compounding of the offences under Section 498-A of IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and quashed the proceedings. 4.

In view of the offence itself being compounded, the question of continuation of these proceedings in CC No.335 of 2021 against these petitioners does not arise.

In the result, the proceedings against petitioners/A2 to A4 in C.C.No.335 of 2021 on the file of Judicial First Class Magistrate, Choutuppal, Nalgonda District, cannot be continued and accordingly set aside in view of the offences being compounded.
