THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.16847 of 2018 ORDER :
Petitioner is running a Minority Educational institution. On 05.01.2018, petitioner submitted representation to the District Educational Officer praying to accord permission to fill up the existing vacancies. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this writ petition is filed.

According to learned Senior Counsel Sri K.G.Krishna Murthy, large number of vacancies are unfilled causing lot of hardship to the management in running the institution and though detailed proposals are submitted as early as in January, 2018, so far no action is taken. According to learned Senior Counsel, vide G.O.Ms.No.41 School Education Department dated 30.06.2017, detailed instructions were furnished to process the said request. But so far no action is taken.

According to learned Government Pleader, there are High Schools and Secondary Schools. For High Schools, the Joint Director is the competent authority and for Secondary and Elementary Schools, the District Educational Officer is the competent authority.

Having regard to these submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Educational Officer and the Regional Joint Director, Guntur, as the case may be, to examine the representation submitted by the petitioner on 05.01.2018 and to take appropriate decision as warranted by law and communicate the same to the petitioner-institution, as expeditiously as possible, preferably
within a period of six (6) weeks, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
