The limited grievance of the petitioners at this stage is that they are aggrieved by the order passed by Joint Collector on 30.06.2017 cancelling the DKT pattas, pattedar pass books and title deeds.

Petitioners preferred appeal before the Commissioner (Appeals) of Land Administration, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh (2nd respondent) on 14.07.2017 received by the office of Chief Commissioner, Land Administration, on 17.07.2017. Along with the appeal, petitioners also sought for stay of the orders passed by the original authority. Alleging that there is no decision made on the application made for grant of stay, this writ petition is filed. 4.

Having regard to the fact that the appeal was received by the office of the 2nd respondent, only on 17.07.2017, it cannot be said that there is inordinate delay in consideration of the said appeal. However, as the petitioners apprehend that they would be dispossessed from the subject lands as a consequent to the orders passed by the Joint Collector, I deem it proper to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the prayer of the petitioners for grant of order pending disposal of the appeal. Such consideration shall be made and decision shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Further, for a period of three (3) weeks from today, the parties are directed to maintain status-quo existing as on today.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
