The Court made the following :
ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed for the following substantive relief :
" ... to issue an appropriate writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in seizing the lorry bearing No.MH-25-B-9584 together with 170 Quintals of rice in 340 bags which were detained in Police Station, Krishnalanka, Vijayawada, Krishna District, seized by the respondents on 21-2-2009 as illegal and arbitrary, without jurisdiction and consequently to direct the respondents to release the lorry bearing No.MH-25-B-9584 together with 170 Quintals of rice in 340 bags seized by the respondents 2 and 3 on 21-22009 in favour of the petitioner ..." At the hearing, the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies (AP), on instructions, submitted that in pursuance of the interim direction dated 3-3-2009 of this Court, the seized lorry and rice were released to the petitioner subject to certain conditions.
In the light of the above submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous.
As a sequel to the disposal of the Writ Petition, WPMP
No.4971 of 2009 is disposed of.
