When the matter is taken up for hearing, the Counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners have attained the age of superannuation. They have filed this Writ Petition seeking promotion. The Counsel for the petitioners further contends that in view of the fact that the petitioners have attained the age of superannuation, the relief sought for by the petitioners cannot be granted. 2.

In view of the above submission, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive and the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. 3.
