THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.8663 OF 2015 ORDER: (per the Hon'ble The Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) By the writ petition the petitioner challenged the demand notice dated 24.10.2014, whereby the property tax payable by the petitioner has been enhanced. In the writ petition it is alleged that without giving any hearing the enhancement has been made.
Learned Standing counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation submits
that her client is prepared to give an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Under these circumstances, we direct the 2nd respondent to give a notice of hearing to the petitioner and in pursuance of which if the petitioner turns up, he shall be heard and his objection/representation shall be considered and thereafter a speaking order shall be passed. Till such decision is taken no coercive measures shall be taken. However, the petitioner shall deposit the admitted amount. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
