ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare the inaction of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in acting on the petitioners' complaint against the manufacturing activity relating to bakery items and sweets being carried on by respondent Nos.4 and 5 in the premises bearing No.8-2-682/B/13, Road No.12, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, as illegal and arbitrary.

The case was adjourned on 27.01.2016, to enable the learned standing counsel for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water & Sewerage Board appearing for respondent Nos.2 and 3 respectively, to obtain instructions.

Today, at the hearing, Mr.P.Kesava Rao, learned standing counsel for GHMC appearing for respondent No.2, on instructions, submitted that the inspection by the officials of respondent No.2 revealed that the allegations made by the petitioners against respondent Nos.4 and 5 are true and that respondent No.2 is contemplating to initiate appropriate action to prevent respondent Nos.4 and 5 from carrying on the aforesaid manufacturing activity. In the light of the above submissions of the learned standing counsel for GHMC appearing for respondent No.2, the Writ Petition is disposed of, with the direction to respondent No.2 to take action, in accordance with law, for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners, after notice to respondent Nos.4 and 5, and complete the process within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.2684 of 2016 filed by the petitioners for interim relief shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
