THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.30705 of 2014 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under:- "...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the Respondents 2 & 3 herein to investigate and enquire into F.I.R.No.342/2014 and forthwith initiate appropriate steps to trace Petitioner's minor son, the 5th Respondent herein in the interest of justice and pass such other order or orders may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." 3.

During the course of arguments, learned Government Pleader brought to the notice of this Court that F.I.R.No.342 of 2014 was transferred to Chaitanyapuri Police Station on the point of jurisdiction and the crime was re-registered as F.I.R.No.648 of 2015. Since the missing boy was already traced, a final report was filed before the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, L.B.Nagar, Hyderabad, referring the case as 'action dropped'.

4.

In that view of the matter, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the writ petition and the same is liable to be closed.

5.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. ___________________ P. KESHAVA RAO, J 20th December 2019 mar
