This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the notification issued by the 2nd respondent under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act vide proceedings in Roc.No.181/07/G3, dated 27.04.2007 in respect of land of the petitioners covered by Sy.No.329 of Jangareddigudem village and Mandal, West Godavari District as arbitrary, illegal and contrary to the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act and the provisions of A.P. Agricultural Land (Conversion for Non-Agricultural purposes) Act, 2006 and consequently, set aside the said notification. This Court, while admitting the writ petition, on 07.06.2007 granted interim stay in W.P.M.P.No.14312 of 2007 and by virtue of the same, the possession of the petitioners over the subject-land has not been disturbed.

Today, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Land Acquisition has placed before this Court, the proceedings of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Jangareddigudem dated 05.12.2017. A perusal of the said proceedings would reveal that the petitioners are in possession of the subject-land and they have not been dispossessed and the proceedings initiated under Section 4(1) of the Act have been lapsed. The said proceedings shall form part of the record. Recording the above said submission, the Writ Petition is closed as no orders are necessary. No costs.
