HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 15511 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondents 1 and 2 in not promoting the petitioner as Principal on regular basis in the 2nd respondent college, though she is senior Lecturer and presently acting as I/c Principal of the 2nd respondent college, as illegal and arbitrary. A consequential direction is also sought to promote the petitioner as regular Principal in the 2nd respondent college as per her seniority immediately with all consequential benefits.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that vide orders dated 05.11.2002 in WPMP No.19426 of 2002, this Court directed the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the case of the petitioner for promotion as Principal in the 2nd respondent college and to finalise the regular promotion to the post of Principal in the 2nd respondent college within six weeks, and that during pendency of the writ petition the petitioner has already retired from service. In view of the same, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition. Therefore, the writ petition is closed.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
