When the matter is taken up, there is no representation for the petitioner.

Sri K.R.Koteswar Rao, Standing Counsel appearing for respondent has submitted that the relief sought by the petitioner is already granted and the petitioner is promoted to the post of Chief Contonment Planner during the pendency of this writ petition and the petitioner has also retired from service, and in view of the same, the writ petition has become infructuous.

This Court, having considered the said submission of the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent, is of the considered view that the cause in the writ petition does not survive. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
