THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER CRIMINAL PETITION No.7249 OF 2021 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is filed by the petitioner/A3, seeking direction to the learned XII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally at Hyderabad, to dispose of C.C.No.348 of 2018 pending on its file expeditiously.

Heard the learned counsel for petitioner/A3, the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent-State and perused the record.

In the subject case, two FIRs were registered in the year 2010. After investigation, the police have filed the club charge sheet on 16.11.2010. However, C.C. number was assigned in the year 2018 vide C.C.No.348 of 2018. The said C.C. ought to have disposed of by the trial Court by this time, but did not do so. The petitioner/A3 is seeking early disposal of the subject C.C. It is apt to state that speedy trial is an essence of the criminal justice system and the petitioner/A3 has every right to seek expeditious disposal of the subject C.C. which is of the year 2018. 4.

Under these circumstances, the learned XII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally at Hyderabad is directed to dispose of C.C.No.348 of 2018 pending on its file within three(3) months from today.

With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
