HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S. RAVI KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.10268 of 2003 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following prayer: i.

to declare the action of the respondent No.1 as illegal, arbitrary and against the letter and spirit of T.O.O (GM (IR)-Per) Ms.No.320 dt. 17.03.2003 in issuing Memo No.CGH (HRD/GM(S)/AS(I), 109-PO, I/03-5, dt. 05.05.2003;

ii.

to declare the petitioners eligible and entitled to the promotion of Line Inspectors and uphold the Order dt. 12.03.2003 issued by the respondent No.2; and iii.

to declare that as per T.O.O ( GM (IR)-Per) Ms.No.320, dt. 17.03.2003, the G.O.Ms.No. 5, dt. 14.02.2003 is adopted by the respondents with effect from 17.03.2003 and not with retrospective effect. When the matter has taken up for hearing on 9.11.2015, on the request of learned counsel for petitioners it was adjourned by one week and again it came up for hearing on 16.11.2015, again time was sought and on the request of learned counsel for petitioners, the matter was adjourned with observation that no further adjournment will be granted.

Today, when the matter is called, learned counsel for petitioners

again sought for time. I am not inclined to grant any further time. Inspite of posting the matter with such a specific direction, no interest is evinced in prosecuting the case.

Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Miscellaneous Petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed.
