THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM CONTEMPT CASE No.1968 of 2017 and WRIT PETITION No.25919 of 2017 COMMON ORDER:

Contempt Case No.1968 of 2017 is filed alleging non-compliance of the order, dated 11.08.2017, passed by this Court in Writ Petition No.25919 of 2017.

Respondent No.1 filed a counter-affidavit, in paragraph 8 of which, he asserted as follows:

"I respectfully submit that it was also decided by the committee that the answering respondent in association with respective State Government shall verify the institutes only for the deficiencies pointed out by respondent No.2 as a reason of rejection. It is submitted that the entire exercise will be completed in two months, so as to consider these applications for affiliation in the next meeting of NCVT sub-committee which is likely to be held in the second week of January, 2018. It is submitted that in compliance to the order, dated 11.08.2017 and 06.10.2017 passed by this Hon'ble Court, a reasoned speaking order dated 10.11.2017 has been issued by the answering respondent with respect to the application of the Petitioner in accordance with law."

In view of the aforesaid categorical assertion of respondent No.1, it can be said that there is no contempt on the part of the respondents and nothing survives further in the Writ Petition. Hence, the Contempt Case and the Writ Petition are closed. It is made clear that the respondents shall take necessary action without fail, in accordance with law, as asserted in the counteraffidavit. _________________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J 5th JANUARY, 2018.
