THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.K.JAISWAL Criminal Petition No.12294 of 2016 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure by the petitioner seeking to quash the order, dated 16-05-2016 passed by the Judge, Family Court-XII Additional District & Sessions Judge, Guntur in Criminal Revision Petition No.90 of 2013, wherein and whereby the learned Sessions Judge dismissed the revision filed by the petitioner herein seeking for setting aside the order dated 2407-2013 enhancing the maintenance amount from Rs.400/- per month to Rs.2,000/- per month in Crl.M.P.No.2480 of 2012 in M.C.No.16 of 2000 on the file of the V Additional Junior Civil Judge, Guntur.

The petitioner-husband is admittedly working as Attender i n Nagarjuna University, Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur.

The awarding of maintenance of Rs.2,000/- per month to the wife even cannot at all be stated as excessive or exorbitant and in fact that amount is a meagre amount. The courts below have given valid reasons for enhancing the maintenance amount. Therefore, the impugned order warrants no interference. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the miscellaneous petitions pending in this petition, if any, shall stand closed.
