HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.38173 of 2012 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed by the petitioner challenging the continuance of rowdy sheet against him in violation of the Andhra Pradesh Police Standing Orders.

The learned Government Pleader for Home, on the basis of the written instructions submitted by the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Kakinada, stated that the petitioner is at present bound over in Crime No.15 of 2009 by the Mandal Executive Magistrate, U.Kothapalli. A rowdy sheet was opened against the petitioner on the file of U.Kothapalli Police Station in 2009 and it is being continued up to 31.12.2016. It was also stated that following the judgment of this Court in W.P.No.18142 of 2012 dated 24.08.2015, the case would be reviewed. 3.

In the circumstances, in view of the non-involvement of the petitioner in any of the serious crimes, the Sub Divisional Police Officer, Kakinada, respondent No.2, is directed to review the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
