THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.2291 of 2016 ORDER:
This criminal petition, under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, is filed by the petitioners-Accused Nos.2 to 12 seeking to quash the proceedings against them in Crime No.31 of 2014 on the file of Women Police Station, Mahabubnagar, registered for the offences punishable under Section 406 and 498-A IPC and 3 & 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.
Heard and perused the material available on record. The crime is of the year 2014. The petitioners were already arrested and released on bail by the police. Till now, no charge sheet is filed. It is the case of the petitioners that there are no specific overt acts against them and in view of the pendency of the present crime, they could not able to proceed with their regular life. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the police concerned are directed to file final report, if any, in accordance with law in Cr.No.31 of 2014 on the file of Women Police Station, Mahabubnagar, within a period of three (3) months from today. With the above direction, the criminal petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending in this criminal petition, if any, shall stand closed.
