THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.13773 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed assailing the order, dated 30.03.2016, whereby the request of the petitioners for considering them as landless poor persons and bestowing benefits of the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 ('the Act', for brevity) was rejected. 2.

At the hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.4 submits that there is an efficacious alternative remedy of appeal and therefore, the Writ Petition is not maintainable.

Sri Vedula Venkata Ramana, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners, would submit that the Writ Petition may be disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioners to file an appeal before respondent No.2. He would further submit that the interest of the petitioners may be protected till appeal/s is/are preferred and appropriate interim orders are obtained from the appellate authority.

Recording the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioners to prefer appeal/appeals before respondent No.2 in accordance with the procedure established by law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In any event, the status quo orders now granted shall be in force for a period of two months from today or till the request(s) of the petitioners for a similar order(s) in the appeal(s) to

be preferred, as per the orders of this Court stand(s) disposed of, whichever is earlier.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
