Petitioner was visited with punishment of 25% cut in pension for a period of five years by order dated 13.01.2015. 3.

When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that aggrieved by the order of punishment, petitioner filed representation on 06.01.2016 and on his representation, Government called for information from the Director, Scheduled Caste Development Department vide memo dated 31.01.2017. He therefore, submits that since the issue is pending consideration of the Government, the Government may be directed to pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

Subject to maintainability of such representation, respondents are directed to examine the claim of the petitioner, as ventilated in his representation dated 06.01.2016 and pass a reasoned order as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of copy of this order and communicate the said decision to the petitioner. 5.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
