THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 17685 OF 2010 O R D E R:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the notification issued under Section 4 (1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, on 16-06-2010 by dispensing with Section 5-A enquiry. The said land was sought to be acquired for the purpose of providing house sites to the displaced persons of 'Indira Sagar' (Polavaram).

Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned Government Pleader produced before this Court a letter addressed to him on 19-10-2016 by the Revenue Division Officer informing him that the respondents dropped the proposal to acquire the land of Ac. 6.00 cents belonging to the petitioners situated in R.S.No. 307 of Polavaram Village. 3.

In view of the same, the Writ Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand dismissed in consequence. No order as to costs.
