Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the
learned Government Pleader for Fisheries. The Writ Petition is being disposed of at the stage of admission with the consent of parties.
The petitioners are members of fifth respondent -Society. The term of the managing committee of the fifth respondent - Society came to an end on 27.06.2015, and a person-in-charge was appointed on 06.06.2015. While so, the petitioners submitted a representation for conducting elections. The Fisheries Development Officer, Tummadam recommended conduct of elections to the fifth respondent - Society by letter dated 25.06.2015. The Deputy Director of Fisheries, Nalgonda sought permission from the second respondent to conduct elections to the fifth respondent -Society. The petitioners also approached the second respondent by way of representation dated 25.06.2015 to conduct elections to the fifth respondent - Society, but no action was taken so far. Hence the writ petition. Learned Government Pleader for Fisheries, on instructions, submits that the file is under process to conduct elections to the fifth respondent - Society.
In the circumstances, the second respondent is directed to issue necessary orders to conduct elections to the fifth respondent - Society, as expeditiously as possible, but not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of. No order as to costs. _______________________________ A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO,J
