Mangina Rambabu, v. The District Collector,
HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN WRIT PETITION No.11558 OF 2009 ORDER:
Learned Government Pleader for Land Acquisition, Andhra Pradesh, on instructions, states that, as at present, the subject land is not required; the respondents are not proceeding further to acquire the subject land at this point of time due to changed circumstances; and fresh land acquisition proceedings would be initiated under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, if the land is required to provide house sites to poor families in future. Sri K. Venkatesh, Learned Counsel for the petitioner, states that, in view of the submission now put forth by the Learned Government Pleader, the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court.
The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs. _________________________________ RAMESH RANGANATHAN, ACJ Date: 11.08.2017.
