With the consent of both parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondent authorities in initiating proceedings against the petitioner, without furnishing documents and passing final orders, without affording opportunity of personal hearing and issuing the final notification of removal from the post of Sarpanch, before the expiry of 30 days time from receipt of order, as illegal and arbitrary. 4.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the order passed by the District Collector, at the earliest. 5.

Learned Government Pleader does not dispute the same. 6.

In view of the above submissions, the writ petition is disposed of directing the first respondent - authorities to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner, against the order passed by the District Collect, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of four to six weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of the order, by giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
