HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.SUBHASH REDDY AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA WRIT PETITION No.20897 of 2015 ORDER : (per Hon'ble Sri Justice R.Subhash Reddy) This writ petition is filed by the petitioner challenging the order dated 23.12.2010 in Consumer Complaint No.87 of 2010 passed by the District Consumer Forum-I, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

2. Under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986, there is a provision of filing appeal before the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad, against the orders passed by the District Consumer Forums in the State. In view of the said efficacious alternate remedy, there is no reason for not availing the said remedy. Further, though the impugned order is passed as early as on 23.12.2010, without availing the aforesaid alternate remedy, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition, at a belated stage.

3. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed, at the admission stage, on the ground of availability of efficacious alternate remedy of filing appeal before the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Hyderabad. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
