THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44037 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a writ of mandamus seeking to declare the action of the 2nd respondent in detaining the vehicle bearing No.AP 24X 1550 (Engine No.NPH506862, Chassis No.PNH127544) (False Number Plat i.e., AP26TT3438) for the last 12 months without Legal Cause, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to release the vehicle bearing No.AP 24X 1550 in favour of the petitioner company forthwith.

Heard and perused the material available on record. At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the vehicle bearing No.AP 24X 1550 is released by the 2nd respondent and that the cause in the writ petition does not survive and the same is liable to be dismissed as infructuous.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
