ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in not disposing of the Appeal filed by the petitioner dated 8.10.2014 against the orders of the 4th respondent passed in R.C.No.79/2012/NREGS/Satha, dated 02.08.2014 as illegal, unjust and consequently to direct the 3rd respondent to reinstate the petitioner as Field Assistant in the 5th respondent's office.

2. Heard the leaned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Counsel appearing for the respondents.

Against the orders passed by the 4th respondent/Project Director terminating the contractual engagement of the petitioner, an appeal has been preferred to the 3rd respondent/District Collector on 08.10.2014.

Since considerable time has already elapsed, instead of keeping this writ petition pending, it would be appropriate to direct the 3rd respondent/District Collector to deal with the appeal of the petitioner dated 08.10.2014, as expeditiously as is possible, preferably within (30) days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and dispose of the same.

5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this writ petition shall stand closed.
