HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Writ Petition No.28004 of 2009 ORDER:

By the impugned tender notification dated 09.12.2009 applications were invited, for appointment of transport contractors, for the period upto 31.07.2010.

This Court, by order dated 22.12.2009, directed the respondents not to receive any tenders in respect of places for which the contracts were subsisting in favour of the petitioners; and the respondents were permitted to proceed further with respect to other places. As the tender notification itself is for appointment of transport contractors only upto 31.07.2010, and the said period expired more than seven years ago, it is evident that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court, and that the Writ Petition has become infructuous. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
