K. Khatija Been, v. The Superintendent Of Police
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.9834 OF 2012 DATED 24th JUNE, 2015 Between:
Smt. K.Khatija Bee and others .. Petitioners and The Superintendent of Police, Kurnool and others .. Respondents
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.9834 OF 2012
O R D E R
The grievance of the petitioners in this case was that the police authorities were calling them to the police station and threatening them with dispossession of their lands in various survey numbers of Veldurthy Village and Mandal, Kurnool District.
The Sub-Inspector of Police, Veldurthy Police Station, Kurnool District, addressed written instructions dated 10.04.2012 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he denied the petitioners' allegations that they were harassed or threatened by the police authorities. He asserted that the police never interfered with the life, liberty and lands of the petitioners or called them to the police station. He further stated that the petitioners themselves had lodged a complaint on 04.04.2012 against one Kishore alleging that he was undertaking constructions in their lands. They also stated therein that they had approached the High Court by way of W.P.No.6609 of 2012. An entry was made in the General Diary as regards the petitioners' complaint but upon due enquiry, the police authorities advised the petitioners to approach the competent Court of law as a writ petition was already pending. The SubInspector of Police categorically denied interference by the police authorities in the civil disputes of the petitioners.
The stand of the police authorities is duly taken on record. In the light thereof and keeping in mind the passage of time since the institution of this writ petition, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
