It is represented by learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that similar writ petitions came up for consideration before this court in W.P.No.4164 of 2019 and batch, wherein a common order was passed on 01.07.2021, operative portion whereof reads as under:- "Accordingly, all the Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for appointment to the posts of Laskars or any other equivalent posts strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.98, dated 15.4.1986 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the respondents shall consider the applications of the petitioners irrespective of the fact whether they submitted the applications within one year or not from the date of issuance of G.O.Ms.No.98, dated 15.4.1986. No costs..."

Accordingly, the present writ petitions are also disposed of along with the pending applications, if any, directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners for appointment to any one of the posts of Junior Assistant/Work Inspector/Office Subordinate/Lascar or any other equivalent posts strictly in terms of G.O.Ms.No.98, dated 15.04.1986 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to state that the respondents shall consider the applications of the

petitioners irrespective of the fact whether they submitted the applications within one year or not from the date of issuance of G.O.Ms.No.98, dated 15.04.1986. There shall be no order as to costs.
