HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.20431 OF 2019 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed to declare the action of the respondents in coming to the house of the petitioners during odd hours, taking the petitioners to various police stations, making them to sit for long hours in absence of any complaint against them, as being illegal and arbitrary. Despite the matter having stood over on 26.09.2019, 29.10.2019, 04.12.2019 and 11.12.2019, there has been no representation on behalf of the petitioners.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions dated 18.09.2019, while denying the averments made in the writ affidavit would submit that the respondent No.4 authority never went to the house of the petitioner nor called the petitioner and made him sit in the police station for hours.

By the said written instructions, the learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that there is no case registered against the petitioners in Kothapally police station. Recording the said submission made on behalf of the respondents, no orders need be passed in the Writ Petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
