The prayer of the petitioners in this case is to direct the police authorities to extend protection to them from the high handed acts of respondent Nos.5 to 7. Respondent No.8 was impleaded as a party on 12.11.2015 upon her application.

2. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, relying on the written instructions dated 13.11.2015 furnished by the Superintendent of Police, Bonakal Police Station, Khammam District, stated that the disputes between the petitioners and the private parties

were purely civil in nature and that the earlier crime which had been registered was closed by filing a final report before the competent court to the effect that it was false.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the eighth respondent also confirmed the fact that civil litigation was pending between the parties.

4. In that view of the matter, the prayer of the petitioners for directing the police authorities to extend protection to them in respect of the subject land cannot be countenanced. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed leaving it open to the parties to settle the disputes before the competent civil court in accordance with law.
