These writ petitions are filed by the petitioners to declare the action of 1st respondent in not making the Shramiks as Eligible to compete for the post of Electrician in terms of Notification No.E2/255(5)/2006-RM:ADB dt.16.01.2007, issued by the 1st respondent as illegal, arbitrary and consequently to direct the 1st respondent to treat the petitioners who are holding the posts of Shramiks as eligible for promotion to the post of Electrician in terms of Notification No. E2/255(5)/2006-RM:ADB dt.16.01.2007 and to select them basing on their performance. 2.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the respondent-Corporation. 3.

This Court by order dated 29.01.2007 and 08.02.2007, respectively, issued interim direction to the respondents to receive the applications of the petitioners, and to permit them to appear for the test for promotion to the Post of Electrician, in terms of the Notification No.E2/255(5)/2006-RM:ADB dt.16.01.2007.

Today when the matters are taken up, the Court is informed that petitioners were subjected to selection process, they were selected and are now working as Electricians. 5.
