THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.9123 of 2017 ORDER:

The petitioners, who are majors, belonging to different caste got married on 09.03.2017 in Sri Sarvalakshmi Narasimha Swami Temple, Nallamalla Adavi, Kurnool District, Andhra Pradesh. The first petitioner is a resident of Kothapalem Village of Edlapadu Mandal in Guntur District and the second petitioner is a resident of Kondaveedu Village, Edlapadu Mandal in Guntur District. The first petitioner is a student studying final year B.Tech., whereas the second petitioner studied up to Intermediate. The parents of the second petitioner are not agreeable to the marriage of the petitioners. The petitioners state that after their marriage they went to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet, Guntur District, and he was not available. They submitted a representation to the Office Superintendent of Revenue Divisional Office. Thereafter, they approached the third respondent, but he was also not available. Now they are apprehending danger to their lives in the hands of respondent Nos.5 and 6.

Since the petitioners are majors, notice to respondent Nos.5 and 6 is not ordered in the present Writ Petition.

Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners want to reside in Inkuroo Village of Narsaraopet Mandal in Guntur District.

In the circumstances, liberty is given to the petitioners to approach the concerned Station House Officer seeking protection for their lives in view of the love marriage, and on receipt of such representation, the concerned Station House Officer shall provide necessary protection to the petitioners. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. The miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed.
