THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION NO.24633 OF 2007 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the following relief:

"... to declare the action of the respondents in seeking to entrust the works relating to metaling of the road from Uyyalawada to Gurralakunta Thanda for KM 2/0 to 4/0 in Dornakal Mandal, Warangal District, with a estimated cost of Rs.8.10 lakhs sanctioned G.O.Rt.No.3, dated 05-01-2007 on nomination basis in favour of the persons of the choice of the Local Political Leaders of party in power in contrary to the guidelines issued by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.37, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Progs.IA), Department, dated 18-02-2005 as amended vide G.O.Ms.No.10, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (Progs.IA), Department, dated 10-01-2006 which provides entrustment of the works in favour of Village Development Committees/Self Help Groups/User Groups as the same is illegal, arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to entrust the aforesaid works in favour of Village Development Committee constituted by the Gram Panchayat, Uyyalawada, Dornakal Mandal, Warangal District..."

2. A counter-affidavit is filed by the 2nd respondent-Executive Engineer stating that the works were entrusted to several tribal groups in the month of June, 2007 and they have commenced the work also. 3.

This writ petition is filed in the year 2007 and this Court issued Rule nisi on 27-02-2009 and no interim order was granted by this Court. It is also stated by the learned Government Pleader that the works were already executed long time back.

In view of these developments, nothing survives in this writ petition.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
