ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue an order, direction or writ, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ after calling for the records, quash the orders dated 7.5.2005 in M.W.No.66/04 on the file of the Authority under Minimum Wages Act, 1948-cum-Asst. Commissioner of Labour -II, Hyderabad as illegal, arbitrary and without jurisdiction."

Heard Sri Badana Bhaskar Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for Labour appearing for the respondents.

The petitioner is the proprietor of Bommana Brothers Saree House, situated at Abids. The 1st respondent had initiated proceedings under the Minimum Wages Act and passed order on 7.5.2005 directing the petitioner to deposit an amount of Rs.6,906/- + one time compensation amount of Rs.6,906/-, totalling to Rs.13,812/-. Challenging the same, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner contends that without appreciating any of the contentions raised by the petitioner, the 1st respondent directed the petitioner to deposit the said amount.

In pursuance of the interim order passed by this Court on 23.06.2005, the petitioner has deposited an amount of Rs.6,906/-. Now, the issue remains to be considered in this writ petition is with regard to payment of balance amount of Rs.6,906/-.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that unless and until grave irregularity or illegality has been pointed out by the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order passed by the 1st respondent. There are no merits in the writ petition and the same is liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
