The Court made the following: [order follows] O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief : a) to call for the records pertaining to opening of rowdy sheet No.6 in the year 1998 and maintained continuously about 17 years at the Respondent No.3 - Police Station on the name of the petitioner herein and set them aside;

b) to direct the respondents herein to close the dowry sheet No.6 opened in the year 1998 and continuously maintained on the name of the petitioner herein at the Respondent No.3 - Police Station.

2. Heard Sri A. Nagendra Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home [Telangana] on behalf of respondents.

Today when the matter is taken up, learned Government Pleader for Home has placed on record written instructions dated 17/7/2015, furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Malkajgiri Police Station, Cyberabad, wherein it is stated

that at present there are no adverse remarks against the petitioner herein and the Inspector of Police, Malkajgiri sent requisition to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, vide No. 137/MKI/Cyb/2015 on 11/5/2015 requesting to close the rowdy sheet and the orders are awaited. A copy of the said letter is enclosed to the written instructions furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Malkajgiri Police Station.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to take appropriate action pursuant to the letter vide No. 137/MKI/Cyb/2015, dated 11/5/2015 addressed to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Division, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

5. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
