Heard counsel for the petitioner and the Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents.

Petitioner contends that she filed a petition before the 4th respondent under the provisions of A.P. Assigned Land (Prohibition of Transfers) Act, 1977 (for short 'the Act'), by way of registered post with acknowledgement due, on 07.07.2015 and the 4th respondent had not passed any orders thereon.

3. Counsel for the petitioner has produced acknowledgment given by the postal department of service of the above petition in the office of the 4th respondent.

4. Therefore, the plea of the Government Pleader for Revenue that there is no such petition filed before the 4th respondent cannot be accepted.

5. So, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application filed under Section 3 of the Act (copy of which is enclosed to the writ petition papers) within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

6. Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any, shall stand closed.
