THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 20477 OF 2019 O R D E R:

Petitioner challenges the order dated 25.06.2019, whereunder his fair price shop authorisation in respect of shop No. 3613002 of Kalvasrirampur Village of Srirampur Mandal of Peddapalli District, was suspended. The case of the petitioner is that suspension order does not mention the period and as it is a substantial punishment, the same is illegal. The petitioner complains that he had already submitted explanation dated 02.07.2019, but the same has not been considered. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies.

Suspension of authorisation of the petitioner's fair price shop is pending further orders. In other words, the same is only ad interim suspension, hence, it cannot be continued indefinitely. The 3rd respondent is therefore, duty-bound to conclude the enquiry in a reasonable time.

Inasmuch as the petitioner had already submitted his explanation, the respondent shall conclude the enquiry, duly considering the same and pass final orders within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
