THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO. 22474 of 2017 ORDER :

Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in not completing the investigation and filing a final report in Crime No.1042 of 2014 of Rajendranagar Police Station, Cyberabad, dated 01.11.2014, as illegal and arbitrary. 3.

Though various grounds are raised, the learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation, at the earliest. 4.

Learned Government Pleader for Home would submit that the respondent police may be directed to file a final report at the earliest, if not already filed.

5.

Without going into merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three to six months, if not already filed. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
