HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.5142 OF 2013 ORDER:

In this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C, petitioners/A1 and A2 seek to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2011 on the file of Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Giddalur, Prakasam District, registered for the offence under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

When the matter came up for hearing, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor produced the letter dated 28.06.2018 of Sub-Inspector of Police, Cumbum Police Station, Prakasam District and submitted that after filing of charge sheet, C.C.No.165 of 2011 was registered and the same was ended in acquittal vide judgment dated 11.01.2016 and therefore, the petition which is filed to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.165 of 2011 has become infructuous and hence the same may be dismissed.

In view of the above submission of learned Public Prosecutor, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
