THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Writ Appeal No. 1151 of 2009 Judgment: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Learned Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the learned Advocate General would submit that the order under appeal required the Government to undertake an exercise with regards the appointment of Government Pleaders. The order under appeal cannot now be implemented, more so, in view of the interim order passed by this Court on 13.10.2009.

As the term of the Office of the respondents-Government Pleaders (respondent Nos. 2 to 11) has since expired, and, in view of the interim order passed by this Court on 13.10.2009 which has been in force for the past more than seven years, no further orders are necessary in the writ appeal.

The writ appeal is accordingly, closed. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
