HONOURABLE SRI J USTICE SURESH K UMAR K AIT AND HONOURABLE SRI J USTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO WRIT PETITION No. 867 OF 2017 ORDER: (Per HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT) Vide present Writ Petition, the petitioners seek a direction in the nature of Habeas Corpus thereby directing the respondents to forthwith produce their daughter, by name, Dumpala Santosh Rupa, aged 33 years, before this Court by removing her from the custody of sixth respondent.

It is the admitted case of the petitioners that the said Dumpala Santhosh Rupa filed Writ Petition (Criminal) No. 3471 of 2016 and Crl.M.A.No.18855 of 2016 before Delhi High Court seeking protection from respondents 3 and 4 (petitioners herein). She was called by the Delhi High Court and the said Court interacted with her. It is recorded in the order passed in the said Writ Petition that since the petitioner has voluntarily taken the shelter under the sixth respondent herein, no person has the right to dictate terms upon the petitioner therein. Pursuant to the filing of aforesaid Writ Petition by said Dumpala Santosh Rupa seeking protection from respondents 3 and 4 (petitioners herein), the Delhi High Court directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police concerned and the Station House Officer, Police Station, Vijay Vihar, New Delhi to make an

assessment of her threat perception and provide adequate protection.

In view of the aforesaid order passed by the Delhi High Court, we find no merit in the present Writ Petition. The Writ Petition is dismissed accordingly.

Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
