ORDER

The petitioners, who are A1 to A4 in Cr.No.234 of 2012 of Pedakakani Police Station, Guntur District, registered for the offences punishable under Section 307 read with Section 34 IPC, filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C., seeking anticipatory bail.

2. Heard both sides and perused the material on record.

3. It is alleged that due to disputes regarding purchasing of house site, all the accused stabbed the de facto complainant on his stomach and left thigh with a knife to do away his life on 01.08.2012 at about 8.30 PM.

4. It appears from the record that even though the case was registered in 2012, the respondent-police have not taken any steps to secure the presence of the accused.

5. Learned Public Prosecutor submits that the accused are absconding from the date of the complaint.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the manner in which the injuries caused by the accused to the de facto complainant and since the date of complaint i.e., 02.08.2012, the accused are absconding, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.
