ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ declaring the action of the respondents in not engaging the petitioners into services of VRA in their respective Villages by totally neglecting them is neither just nor fair and the same may please be declared as arbitrary, illegal, unlawful, biased against the principles of natural justice and established law, violation of fundamental rights enshrined in the holy Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to take the petitioners into services forthwith as VRA in the respective villages in the interest of justice and equity and pass such other relief or relieves as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, fair, proper and expedite in order to secure the complete justice."

Heard Sri B.Ramesh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, and learned Government Pleader for Services-II appearing for the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioners that they were appointed as Village Revenue Assistants in their respective villages. However, their services could not be continued beyond 2013. Hence, the petitioners had made several representations to the respondents to re-consider their cases for re-engaging them as Village Revenue Assistants. The petitioners have again submitted a representation dated 17.8.2019 to the respondents. But, so far, no orders have been passed by the respondents.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to consider the representation dated 17.8.2019 submitted by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that if the petitioners submit a representation afresh, the respondents would consider the same, and pass appropriate orders thereon.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the petitioners to submit a representation afresh to the respondents staking their claim for re-engagement as Village Revenue Assistants, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such representation, the respondents shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a period of eight weeks thereafter.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
