HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE T. VINOD KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.20738 OF 2019 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of the 2nd respondent in not providing police protection to the petitioner herein as per the complaint dated 24.07.2019 and 27.07.2019.

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions dated 23.09.2019, submits that based on the complaint made by the petitioner herein a case has been registered in Crime No.181 of 2019 under Sections 342, 506 read with 34 IPC of Chengomol police station on 21.09.2019 and the same is under investigation. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the authorities would complete the investigation into the matter and take appropriate action thereon at the earliest.

Recording the above submission made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, on the basis of written instructions, inasmuch as the police have already registered a crime based on the complaint of the petitioner, while directing the 2nd respondent authority to complete the investigation as

expeditiously as possible, no further orders are required to be passed.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
