HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION NO.18225 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This petition is filed for a writ of Mandamus declaring the action and unwarranted interference of respondent Nos.2 to 4 herein in the matter of laying electrical lines, erection of electrical towers and in calling concerned land owners to police station frequently in the absence of any complaint against them, for the lands located in Pokkuru, Raghavapuram, Vellanki, Kethaveerunipadu and Kodavathikallu Villages of Chandarlapadu, Nandigama and Veerullapadu Mandals of Krishna District, as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 4 not to harass the petitioners.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

The respondents filed counter affidavit stating that they have never called the petitioners to the police station at the instance of the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited and that the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has also never made any complaint to the police authorities to register the cases against the petitioners or any other farmers. It is also stated that the District Collector, Krishna District has issued instructions to the Superintendent of Police, Krishna District vide Lr.File No.REV-RT10 MIS(PG)/3/2016-JA(H6)- KGO, dated 04-06-2018, to extend necessary cooperation and

provide necessary police protection to the personnel being attended in execution of works in the Mandals mentioned therein to complete the project at an early date. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents not to interfere with the rights of the petitioners without following due process of law. No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed. _______________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY, J 08.06.2018 t k.
