THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.RAVI KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE Nos. 1088 and 1089 of 2016 Common Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) The order of this Court, violation of which is alleged in both these contempt cases required the respondents-contemnors to vacate the subject premises latest by 18.12.2015 and to pay costs of Rs.25,000/-. While the respondents vacated the subject premises only in May, 2016 and paid costs of Rs.25,000/- on 10.8.2016, it is clear that the order of this Court has been complied with albeit, belatedly.

We are satisfied that this is not a case where we should proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 (for short 'the Act'), as the violation of the order does not appear to be intentional and deliberate.

Both the contempt cases are accordingly closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
