Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned GP for respondent Nos. 1 and 2.

The prayer sought in the Writ Petition is as under: "to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in nature of Writ of Mandamus challenging the action of 2nd respondent and his Police Constables in interfering into the civil disputes between the petitioner and 3rd respondent directing the petitioner to settle the matter by paying amount demanded by the 3rd respondent is illegal and arbitrary and also violation of fundamental rights and consequently direct the respondents Police not to interfere into the civil disputes between the petitioner and 3rd respondent in any manner."

Respondent No.2 filed a counter affidavit stating that he never called the petitioner to the police station on 28.9.2013 and threatened him to pay the amounts to respondent No.3 within ten days. It is further stated that the dispute between the petitioner and respondent No.3 appears to be civil in nature relating to money transaction, hence, they have nothing to do with such dispute. The petitioner is unnecessarily involving them in the civil litigation.

In the light of the said statement made in the counter affidavit, this Court is of the opinion that no further orders are required in the Writ Petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
