HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No. 30538 OF 2017 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed seeking writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the respondents in taking steps for payment of Telangana Beneficial Scale to the petitioner from 08.02.1966 to 30.09.1992 of Rs.1,22,297/- along with interest as illegal and arbitrary.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Education.

Admittedly, petitioner retired from service in the year 1992. Except stating that the petitioner made several representations, no specific details are given in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. Moreover, it is stated that he is seeking Telangana Beneficial scale from the year 1966 to 1992, it is not known and no reasons are given for approaching this Court with enormous delay. Even according to the petitioner, he made representation on 01.04.1996, i.e., more than 20 years have lapsed by now. In view of above facts and circumstances, this writ petition is dismissed for latches. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand dismissed.
